The aim of this course is to help guide you through the progression from new grad to practitioner, from student to clinic management. In order to give you the tools to kick off your training wheels and navigate early practice life with confidence.
MODULE 1: Your Professional Requirement to Practice
In this lesson, we start by going through the foundational must-haves before you start your business.
We'll cover topics such as:
⭕ Apply for National Registration
⭕ Apply for Professional Associations Memberships
⭕ Arrange Provider Number
⭕ Professional Indemnity Insurance Requirements and where to obtain it
⭕ Register your Business Name and applying for an ABN and TFN
MODULE 2: Types of Clinic Setups & Styles
In this lesson, we will go through what kind of practice you should set up to best suit your style and passion!
We'll cover topics such as:
⭕ The different types of practice you can set up and their pros and cons
⭕ What kind of practitioner do you want to be?
⭕ What should you specialise in and who do you want to be working with?
MODULE 3: Basics of Clinic Management
In this lesson, we will go through the basics of clinic management.
We'll cover topics such as:
⭕ How to create clinic and business management systems
⭕ The administration side of thing e.g. client intake form, consent form, record keeping
⭕ Invoicing, accounting and bookkeeping
⭕ Infection control plans
⭕ Ordering and stocktake system
⭕ HICAPS & EFTPOS
MODULE 4: Cost & Pricing
In this lesson, we'll go through the cost and pricing strategies so you can make a profit and grow your business!
We'll cover topics such as:
⭕ How much to charge and how to price your services
⭕ Rules to maximise your efforts and retain profit
⭕ Know your cost and control your inventory and spendings
⭕ How to grow a profitable practice
MODULE 5: Marketing, Websites and Social Media
A big, important lesson that goes through all the vital marketing aspects of the business so your practice can GROW!
We'll cover topics such as:
⭕ Logo and Branding
⭕ Website (domain name, what website platform to consider, DIY or outsource)
⭕ Digital Marketing foundations (Search Engine Optimisation, social media marketing)
⭕ Organic Marketing (without paying for ads!)

Usually a self-study course, for twice a year (January and July) I run this course LIVE, with live webinars to compliment the trainings. The January intake is now open for enrolment, and spots are strictly limited to keep the group small so I can provide enough personal attention to all.

Hi, I'm Amanda Gratzer, but please, call me Mandy. It's lovely to meet you!
I've been an acupuncturist and an owner of my own successful practice for almost 20 years now. I first set up my clinic in my hometown Darwin, and after building a vibrant business there, I left my established business behind and moved to Perth with my family in 2016.
When I came to Perth, I had no client list, no contacts and no business presence. I had to start over, but because of the extensive knowledge I've accumulated over the years, I was able to grow the practice quickly and over the past few years my business has grown from strength to strength.
The first steps are often the hardest, and setting up and growing a successful practice has nothing to do with your qualification, and everything to do with your business management skills.
The overwhelming sentiment from experienced practitioners that I’ve heard in my time building and researching this course is that we all finish our qualifications more than equipped as practitioners but not as business owners or practice managers. For most of us coming before you, it’s literally just been time and experience to set up over the years, making mistakes and learning on the fly.
But wouldn’t it be a more efficient experience if you’re already getting off on the right foot, rather than tripping through the system as you go along?
